Wine cellars

Tårget as a venue has a long history in restaurant activities. As early as 1682, the merchant Niels Stensson Kock was granted permission to sell alcohol and wine in our present-day cellar. Back then, the restaurant was called Victorian Kellari. Most of the cellars are from the 17th century, but it is suspected that some older segments date back to the 15th century. The cellars were restored to their present state in the 21st century. The cellars were used as wine cellars in the 1990s, but now everyone has the opportunity to enjoy a dining experience in the cellars. In our cellars you can experience an atmospheric dining experience right in the middle of history.

In the idyllic setting of the on-request restaurant Piazza, you can organize a wide range of elegant events: we will help you to organize unforgettable weddings, birthday parties, naming celebrations, class reunions and other important events.

We offer both bar and food services, provided by our professional staff. For dinner services we can seat up to 120 people, and for standing cocktail events we can accommodate around 200 people. For occasions of less than 60 people, we offer an intimate and atmospheric courtyard space that is reserved entirely for your party’s private use.

Our on-request restaurant Piazza is located in a central location on the enchanting beautiful riverbank of Turku.

We prepare delicious meals in our kitchen and serve them on the spot in your party location and venue. Alternatively, we can bring the raw materials with us and create the dishes and menu at your premises.
